kVA to kW formula
kW = kVA × PF · kVA = kW ÷ PF (reverse on kW to kVA)
- kVA — apparent power (nameplate / transformer rating)
- kW — real (active) power delivered to the load
- PF — power factor (0–1); cos φ for sinusoidal systems
Example: 100 kVA × 0.8 = 80 kW. Reactive ≈ √(100² − 80²) = 60 kVAR.

How do I convert kVA to kW?

Is kVA the same as kW?
